About Medinail Learning Center

The MediNail Learning Center (MLC) was founded by nail industry and podiatric specialists Janet McCormick and Dr. Robert Spalding, two professionals committed to the advancement and empowerment of their professions. (To see their backgrounds, see Faculty.)

It is MNL’s goal to develop mastery of skills, to promote delivery of effective services, and to establish collaborative partnering with the medical and other communities.

Medinail Learning Center provides courses for several foot care professionals:

Nail Technicians! The nail technician courses on medinails.com are designed especially for the licensed nail professional seeking to earn more and gain higher respect by transitioning into exciting new levels of success.

These courses provide information for enhancing their skills in working safely as well as valuable business information. This important information includes marketing, policies, protocols, forms, pricing, regulations, and many other tools that the authors believe are not taught in most professional pre-license courses.

Continuing Education courses for nail professionals in the states that require them are here! Currently approved: Florida, GA, OH

Podiatrists! A two module course is available for Podiatrists who want to develop a cosmetic nail department. This course will help a podiatrist choose and hire an MNT and provide the set up information needed to be successful in Cosmetic Podiatry. This course will take the stress out of the set up and will move a podiatry practice forward quickly in this business concept.

Podiatric Medical Assistants! Many podiatrists and assistants have requested a Certification course to provide a solid basis of information for working assistants. This course provides the background in podiatry needed for Assistants, shortens their training time and enhances their work skills. It also provides proof, through certification, that the PMA has studied and passed a course containing all basic information needed to work in a Podiatry office! Check on the Podiatrist page for details and enrollment!

Foot Care Nurse! Nurses are requesting a course to support their care of the feet because they feel their education had a gap in that area. This course fills that gap and instructs them in how to safely and appropriately work with the feet for at-risk patients and how to recognize needs for further medical care by a podiatrist or physician. The course also provides a Certification that can demonstrate  an additional level of education in the area of foot care, an excellent skill to have in performing nursing care.
