What is the Advanced Nail Technician Program?

Online-only Advanced Nail Technician Program
This course is available online-only and also paid for online. It consists of five modules of information, Module I,2,3,4 & 5, then an exam. The Modules are divided into topic sections followed by study questions to support the attendees’ studies for the exam. After passing the test with the required 75% correct, the technician is sent a displayable Certificate as a Certified Advanced Nail Technician and is listed as an ANT on medinails.com.
If the salon where the Advanced Nail Technician works meets the qualifications listed on http://www.WeSterilize.com/, the salon/spa and the individual ANT can be placed on the web site’s list as a sterilizing salon/technician. This site receives over 8,000 visits per year from persons wishing to locate a sterilizing salon or technician in their area. It contains consumer information on why they should go to salons that use autoclave sterilization as an infection control technique.

Classroom-based Advanced Nail Technician Program
The school-based course is provided in a school’s pre-license course or as a continuing education course. It is designed to allow hands-on participation in the Advanced Nail Technician Program skills. It begins with one training day at the school experiencing hands-on the aseptic techniques. This Module 1 Day is followed by the student taking the online modules (2,3,4 & 5) and atendance of a final day at the school to demonstrate learnings and take the exam. The benefit to this program? Valuable hands-on experience ensures the student quality learning of the skills trained in the Modules.
In the Classroom-based Program, the student signs up for the Advanced Nail Technician Course at a participating school. After completing the final school day and attaining 75% on the exam, the new Advanced Nail Technician receives a displayable ANT certificate from Medinail Learning Center and his or her name is added to the list of Advanced Nail Technicians on the medinails.com site.
If the salon or spa where the new Advanced Nail Technician works meets the qualifications as stated on the http://www.westerilize.com/ site, the salon/spa’s and/or the individual technician can apply to be placed on the site’s list of sterilizing salons and spas.

Continuing Education Format for the Advanced Nail Technician Program
The Continuing Education Programs for training the Advanced Nail Technician Certification are offered by participating schools and/or a Certified Medinail Learning Center Providers, are structured the same as the Classroom-base Advanced Nail Technician (described above) and are taught by Certified Medical Nail Technicians.
