MNT Tuition Information
The Medical Nail Technician Program prerequisites consist of the student being a licensed nail technician or cosmetologist and a Certified Advanced Nail Technician. Be prepared to provide your state license number.
After the student has passed the exam to become an Advanced Nail Technician, he or she must take the seven modules of the Medical Nail Technician Course, then an Internship to qualify for certification.
The Exams for the MNT are taken incrementally, not comprehensively, meaning the exam is over the previous three modules, not the entire program. There is one following MNT Module #3, and one after Module #6. Passing both is a prerequisite for taking an Internship. The Exam modules do not have a fee.
The information protion of the MNT Program consists of ANT Modules 1-3 and MNT Modules 1-7 and are purchased in a package containing all the modules. Exams are included. The tuition is $499 for all 10 modules. To purchase the ANT - MNT Online Package, click here.
The MNT Internship follows the MNT Online Information and exams, and must be experienced as part of the MNT and prior to the awarding of the Certification.
IMPORTANT! Please see the information concerning the Internship, below, before signing up for the MNT Program. 
An Internship with a podiatrist in the student’s home area is required for completion of the MNT Certification course. The podiatrist must be directed by the Medinail Internship Training Center concerning the skills trained in the Program. An alternative is for the MNT to complete the Internship in Dr. Spalding’s office in Chattanooga, TN. The student is eligible for the MNT Certificate following the exam and upon completion of the Internship.
The fee for the Internship is $500 paid directly to the podiatrist, though many podiatrists will provide the 5-day Internship for free for an MNT they have chosen to hire or for one that they refer to in a salon.
The Medinail Certificate has a $10 fee and includes a highly displayable certificate and a professional pin that can be worn in the office and to professional meetings to signify the person has completed the MNT program. The pin is similar to those nurses, dental hygienists and other professionals wear to signify their accomplishment.
One More Thing….
The graduate MNT will also receive Certification as a Podiatric Medical Assistant as the requirements and information for the PMA Program are included within the MNT program. This training raises the value of the MNT within the podiatric office and more readily prepares her to work with a podiatrist.
The cerificates and the pin are sent to the student after he/she passes the exams, the papers are sent in to signify completion of an Internship and sends his/her name as it is to appear on the certificates to Janetgmccormick@aol.com, along with the address to which it is to be sent.
