MNT Tuition Information

Who is the MNT™?

The Medical Nail Technician™ (MNT) is trained to to perform cosmetic pedicures on patients in a licensed salon room in the practice and to assist the physician in his/her podiatry practice. The podiatrist will market the Nail Technician’s cosmetic services to the practice patients and to the public.

As graduates of the MNT Certification Program, Nail Technicians have options.  Many will work part time in a podiatrist’s office and the rest of their time in a spa, salon or medspa performing safe pedicures; others will work full time in a podiatry office either as a Podiatry Medical Assistant, as a pedicurist in the office’s licensed salon room, or performing both according to the practice needs. Other salon-based Nail Technicians take the MNT Program merely to greatly enhance their knowledge.

Working in a podiatry office is a change of pace, a new opportunity, and a positive experience that expands the Nail Technician’s overall career possibilities in the industry he or she love. However, many nail technicians who intend to stay in the salon work setting take the MNT Program to advance their knowledge and to gain higher respect from their clients and podiatrists.

The Medical Nail Technician Program™

The  MNT Program consists of ANT Modules 0-8 and MNT Modules 1-10. The tuition is $549 for the 18 modules (ANT-MNT Package).  The MNT cannot be purchased separately.

To purchase the ANT-MNT Online Package, click here. A payment plan is available on the payment page.

An Internship of five days or 40 hours is required following the MNT Online Modules of information and the passing of the exams. It  must be completed prior to the awarding of the Certification. It can be one day a week until the 40 hours are reached, a five day week, or any configuration the technician can arrange with a local podiatrist.  MLN aids the future MNT in acquiring the podiatrist to perform the Internship.

The Internship podiatrist is provided a Manual and a required list of skills to be experienced on the Skills Log. It is the responsibility of the student to download these from the web site from the link Internship Materials. It is the intern’s responsibility to negotiate the requirements for the days in the office.

The Medinail Certificate fee is $15 and includes the displayable MNT Certificate. the Podiatric Medical Assistant Certificate and the MNT professional pin that can be worn in the office and to professional meetings to signify the person has completed the MNT program. The pin is similar to those nurses, dental hygienists and other professionals wear to signify their accomplishment.

One More Thing….

The graduate MNT will also be eligible to apply for a Certification as a  Clinical Podiatric Medical Assistant (CCPMA) from the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine Society (ACFAOM) as the requirements and information for that Program are included within the MNT Program and Internship. This certificate raises the value of the MNT within the podiatric office and even more readily demonstrates the MNT’s capabilities to work in a podiatry office.

The MNT certificate and the pin are sent to the student after he/she passes the exams, after the Skill Log is sent in to signify completion of an Internship, after the $15 Certification Fee is paid on the web site and after the materials listed in the Introductory Module are emailed to janet@medinails.com. They are not automatically sent following completion of the program.

After each certification requisite is finished, the Nail Technician’s name is placed on the GRADUATES list which is a tab on the Medinail Learning Center Home Page.

Thank you for your interest in the Medinail Learning Center Programs.
